Testosterone

Testosterone is essential for maintaining various aspects of health and longevity. In men, it is responsible for male characteristics like deep voice, muscular build and facial hair.  Testosterone levels peak in early adulthood, but as you age the level of Testosterone in your body gradually decreases.  After age 30, men’s Testosterone levels will naturally decrease by 1-2% per year.  Low Testosterone, commonly referred to as “Low T”, is linked to a variety of symptoms including:

  • Feeling tired, lack of energy and motivation
  • Decreased libido (sex drive).
  • Erectile dysfunction
  • Memory problems, difficulty concentrating, Brain fog
  • Mood changes and depression
  • Hair Loss
  • Muscle weakness and loss of muscle mass
  • Decreased bone density.
  • Sleep pattern changes.

Testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), effectively addresses Low T by restoring testosterone to healthy levels, improving symptoms, and enhancing overall health and quality of life. It’s important to remember that the benefits of TRT, such as increased energy, vitality, and improved muscle mass, may take time to return, and can be a gradual process as we work through dose optimization.  Every patient is unique, and every TRT treatment plan is custom tailored to the patient with the goal of enhancing testosterone levels to get the most benefit from TRT.

We pride ourselves in giving quality care and providing the answers you need, finding the most effective Low T treatment for you. We want to make sure your lower testosterone levels don’t impact your day-to-day life, and are here to help you get back on track

Our Process

Just have questions? Not sure TRT is right for you and not ready to commit to a consultation? Give us a call and we can talk more about the program at no charge. No sales pitch or obligation to sign up. All services are provided via telehealth (including video feature when indicated). We are a simply phone call away. Medication discretely delivered right to your door. We strive to make the process as seamless and easy as possible for you.

We have streamlined our process to be quick and easy. Before starting any TRT program we want to obtain baseline labs. These are comprehensive labs that allow us to look at the entire picture of what is going on inside your body, which include testosterone levels. We draw these labs before your first visit with the provider, so that we can review them together. While lab work is important, it is not the only factor we look at when considering TRT. We discuss how your testosterone levels (even when considered normal by lab standards) may be playing a role in how you are feeling. We treat the patient, not a number. If it is determined TRT is right for you, we will get the process started right at that first visit, which includes your first vial of testosterone to start your program. The most common method for TRT is with testosterone injections, which are self administered at home. However it is important to know that the injection method is not the only way to participate in a TRT program. We have other, non injection based treatment options available as well for those who prefer no needles. The cost for this initial consultation is $250. (price includes your lab work)

Follow-up visits are generally quick and pretty straightforward. We can fine tune/adjust your dosing as needed during your treatment. Your provider is involved in every single follow up visit and is essentially available around the clock to help guide you and answer any questions that may arise. Labs are updated at your providers discretion, but in general will update labs 6-8 weeks into your program, or 6-8 weeks after any dose adjustments. These follow up visits and labs are all included in the monthly fee of $150. There are no other hidden fees. While we do have access to other add on medications such as clomiphene and HcG, we have made it a point to not make your visit feel like a sales pitch and don’t want someone to feel pressured into taking these. Certainly, if they are of interest to you, they are available to discuss and prescribe if indicated.

Transfer patients: if you are already on a TRT program but looking to transfer care, we are happy to help. We will request copies of your past lab work from your current provider and help to continue managing your TRT program. You would simply start in our monthly management plan, at $150 per month.

YOU SHOULD NOT USE TRT IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • Blood clots
  • Prostate or breast cancer (or suspected)
  • Elevated prostate specific antigen (PSA) levels
  • Enlarged prostate causing difficulty with urination.
  • Heart attack or stroke within the last six months
  • Untreated sleep apnea (obstructed breathing during sleep)
  • An unusual or allergic reaction to testosterone
  • A female partner is trying to get pregnant.

THERE ARE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS TO TESTOSTERONE THERAPY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Elevated red blood cell count
  • Acne
  • Sleep apnea
  • Possible prostate and/or breast enlargement
  • Skin irritation with topical TRT
  • Injection site irritation with injectable TRT

There is no firm scientific evidence that long-term testosterone replacement is associated with either prostate cancer or cardiovascular events.
